I have volunteered for Gleaners for 8 years. I like the fact that Gleaners has helped a wide variety of people and organizations throughout the valley, through both the food bank as well as the two thrift stores, and has done so without government assistance. I like Creston's small town vibe and the community's friendliness and coming together when most needed.

I have been a volunteer at Gleaners since October 2016. I spend a lot of time at Gleaners Too and I like the openness and fun that we have on a daily basis. Creston is my home, I was born here and got my education here as well. I like the small-town atmosphere and the friendliness.

While I am new to the Gleaners board as an advisor, I have been a customer for many years. I am proud that Gleaners is helping to preserve our environment and supporting our fellow citizens who experience food insecurity. Gleaners makes Creston a better place to live - and YES I bought it at Gleaners!

I have been a proud volunteer at Gleaners for over 15 years. I have been in the Creston Valley for 30 years and consider Gleaners my "happy place". I have a great sense of accomplishment and have made many friends here.

I have been a volunteer at Gleaners since 2021. My favourite part of Gleaners is working with the other volunteers and sorting through the donations. I enjoy meeting with the people of Creston who make donations and in turn help support the Food Bank.

I have volunteered at Gleaners since 2020. I really enjoy meeting the people from our generous community and sharing with them how our organization works. We chose Creston to retire to because of its climate and the smaller center feel.

I have been a volunteer at Gleaners since early 2024. I really enjoy working with all of the wonderful people who give their time so generously to support the less fortunate in our community; working at Gleaners is an inspiration to me. I love the Creston community for it's diversity of cultures and so many opportunities for everyone to live and thrive here. I especially love the environment, with it's natural beauty, and the spirit and peace of this place.

I started volunteering at the Food Bank in 2021 and have since started volunteering at Gleaners and Gleaners Too as well. My favourite part about Gleaners is that we help people in need and recycle everything that would otherwise be thrown away. Creston is my hometown. It's such a beautiful valley and there are such kind, caring, wonderful people here.
